The Knowledge Channel, started in 2004 by UR and Swedish Television, is a non-commercial, theme-based channel which inspires viewers by broadening, deepening and explaining subjects. The Knowledge Channel broadcasts programmes within specific subjects like history, wildlife, science, culture and pedagogy. The channel transmits daily from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
