UR – there for everyone

UR has a mandate to produce programmes for linguistic and ethnic minorities in Sweden and for people with a disability. Moreover, there are some programmes produced for those to whom Swedish is the second language. Our material is also to be accessible to people with varying types of disability.

UR has, among other things, an audibility policy that all should be able to hear and understand what is being said. Even our website is modified for those unable to read. Added to which, there is a sign language site: www.ur.se/teckensprakswebben. Many of our television programmes are available with subtitles in various languages, including easier Swedish.

UR’s teletext can be found on pages 800 to 899 in Sweden. Here you will find information about our radio and television programmes. Apart from broadcast schedules there are pages with additional material related to specific programmes, and text in easier Swedish, known as LL (''easy-read'') pages.
